Poisoned.

By the lack of medicine.

They took it away, they took it away

And said, “You’ll get addicted,

high and drinking in sin.”

They left me in the dark

And nobody would listen.

My mouth wanted to shout

Obscenities.

But where was the doctor?

When my throat was heavy

And fell away to a throne

Getting owned

While they laughed

What can’t be unseen

What can’t be unfelt

All the medicine.

Now won’t settle

All the wounds scarred.

How I long for a quintessence

Ride on a silver Airstream

Riding along the waves

Of nowhere roads

But it’s all a daydream

And I’m without you,

Without you

I don’t know where to go

But I’m riding along the golden

Golden fields of sunflowers

On the highway in September

And darling dear,

Dearest gentleman of the road

How I miss and long for you.

tumbleweed

I’ve been tumbleweed

Weightless, yet weighed down

Fiddling around

And relatively incomplete

Full and aching of fleeting feelings

For the unrequited

That never answers back

A wanderer in the winds,

Wild as an avalanche to those sundry seas

Seemingly uneven at the seams

And yet, there’s a stillness to this abyss

Of a tumbleweed adrift
